Just last week I discovered how dramatically (and quickly) our society is changing. We all know our language is evolving and new words are being created to fill the voids, however, at the same time, we are losing comfortable old ones.
In a recent roundtable dealing with the lack of TREE SERVICE REQUIREMENTS, the role of the CERTIFIED ABORIST was broached. To my DISBELIEF, 3 men, all under 30, two with college degrees, had NEVER HEARD the word ARBORIST!
Folks, a LICENSED CERTIFIED ARBORIST is the PhD of the tree industry. An advanced education, significant experience, and passing the STATE LICENSING EXAM are BASIC requirements. Many have an extensive knowledge of plants and landscaping issues. Some are “hands on” tree climbers. Many HOME OWNER ASSOCIATIONS require an Arborist to “sign off” on any tree removal from
their neighborhoods. Other situations where an Arborist is called for:
        1. Disease and parasite identification and recommended TREE SPRAYING
            advice where needed.
        2. DEEP ROOT FERTILAZATION.
        3. Pruning and trimming of fruit trees and other desirable plants.
        4. Difficult landscaping issues.
        5. Planting.
Although we at Geddie Tree Service, LLC, are licensed and QUALIFIED to handle almost all Tree Service needs, we occasionally need the expertise of a LICENSED CERTIFIED ARBORIST and that is why we have a contract Arborist ON STAFF. If you feel you may have an issue requiring an Arborist, Call us at 601-498-8269.

*There are no fees associated with a consultation involving Geddie Tree Service personnel. However, if services of a Certified Arborist are required, the Arborist will charge a fee for his/her services.
